Watch before you take that step. How often do we really check what we’re walking on? We’re all taught to sound the floor and here’s a case where the staircase would be something to be aware of. The stairs are all unleveled and small nonstructural angle brackets are used as bracing to strengthen the treads. As we went up we felt the entire staircase sagging and shifting to one side. During an incident numerous stressors and forces will affect the staircase such as manpower, to lines, and even a stair-chair. Something to think about when operating in a structure with stairs similar to these.
