One of the most basic ways to package and drag a firefighter is to convert the SCBA in a harness. In a prior clip we showed using the waist straps through the legs to secure the pack from sliding off the body. Using an interior or exterior ladder belt/harness, the large D clip may be secured through the shoulder straps to create the modified full body harness. This evolution was done slowly to capture all the elements of packaging. Obviously when done under live conditions, should you need to conduct this maneuver, it’ll be at full speed and both firefighters will be fully geared up/on air, etc. This is just one option of many.
